It may be disorganized, confusing, and sometimes a little hectic. It will also be raw, truthful and constantly evolving. Just like me.
Disclaimer:
I’m not here to be a blogger. I’m not running any of this by an editor. I’ve written plenty of A plus essays in my time. In fact, I didn’t get anything below an A in all of the English classes I took for my minor in college. That’s not what I want this to be.
I am solely doing this for the purpose of giving you a taste of my world, and trying to demonstrate what it’s like to be in my head. This means that it may be disorganized, confusing, and sometimes a little hectic. It will also be raw, truthful and constantly evolving. Just like me. I’m writing to you as if I were talking to you. As if you’re my new best friend and we’re sitting with my bedroom floor, with some wine and popcorn, having a heart to heart. I hope that in sharing my stories, my fans can connect to my music better. I also hope it can help, inspire, or simply ease the minds of other artists out there considering taking the leap of faith and chasing their dream like I did.
I’d written my first couple of posts just before my move to Nashville. I then gave up on the blog idea for a while, so I had to go back and fill in the time periods I’d left off as best as I could. Then things got better for me and I picked it back up again. I will let you know when that break happens, and also when the posts catch back up to real time. I’m glad you’re coming with me on this crazy ride. Buckle up! It’s going to be fun!
