Brina Kay was always destined to entertain, learning to play the violin as a kindergartner in the Chicago suburbs, and having a knack for the performing arts ever since. From musical theatre, to dance, to songwriting, it would be a lot easier to list the things that she can't do or isn't willing to try. After graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and spending the summer performing gigs with a band across the state, Brina resolved to make it where artists go to be among the best, Nashville, Tennessee.

Brina wasted zero time after touching down in Music City. With no connections beyond her coworkers at the ice cream shop job she managed to get, she paved her own way. By making the most out of her resources and relentlessly pursuing opportunities, Brina went from knowing nobody to being part of a community of established songwriters, releasing five new singles, and performing in numerous notable Nashville venues within her first year.

Her first release out of Nashville, "Horizon” charted on She Wolf Radio and was featured on Spotify's "Discover Weekly" playlist. It introduced Brina to the scene as a bold, passionate, go-getter who not only believes in the power of her dreams but is willing to put in the work and take the risks needed to make them a reality.

Brina's next two singles also charted on She Wolf Radio, with "Heat of the Moment" reaching number eight and "Into the Sun" reaching number one. Brina has since been featured in numerous publications and news outlets, including Chicago's Daily Herald and WGN News, and has been regularly featured on iHeartRadio country station Chicago’s Big 95.5.

Most recently, Brina released the official music video for her song "Rome" in March of 2020, and followed it up with a bang in July of 2020 with the official video for her song “Heat of the Moment.”
In December, she debuted her first Christmas song, "Ghost of Christmas Past."

During quarantine, Brina has grown rapidly on TikTok due to her clever songwriting videos, going repeatedly viral and garnering hundreds of thousands of views.

Brina was also just voted 4th place for Artist of the Year (alongside Gabby Barrett and Miranda Lambert) and 2nd place (to Kelsea Ballerini) for Music Video of the Year in The Women of Country's Best of 2020 Awards. She is currently in the process of recording her fan-funded debut EP.
